Pointillism uses an accumulation of distinct dots of color to create a picture; in a similar fashion The Infinite Crystal Universe uses points of light to create three-dimensional objects. The immersive installation is intended to resemble a galaxy, where clusters of stars orbit around bigger stars and space seems infinite.

Visitors interact with the work by using their smartphones—they can select different elements in the installation and manipulate them by dragging and then releasing them back into the work. Every visitor’s action influences in real time the experience of others in the space; the installation is constantly evolving, as it reacts moment to moment to the presence of people.
