JR – Migrants, Picnic across the Border

On the last day of an installation on the Mexican side of the border between the United States and Mexico, JR organized a gigantic picnic across the fence. Hundreds of guests came from the US and Mexico to share a meal together. The surface of the table they gathered around was an enlarged photo of the eyes of a Dreamer—one of the immigrants awaiting citizenship approval—with one eye on each side of the border.
